About
AV-lab is part of KU Center for Autonomous Robotic Systems (KUCARS) focused on advancing autonomous and robotic technologies through four main themes and nine integrated projects over three years. The themes include Autonomous Cars, Aerial Robotics, Marine Robotics, and Industrial Robotics.
Specific projects cover situational awareness and navigation in autonomous cars, vision-based collaborative inspection using UGVs and UAVs, surveillance with aerial vehicles, critical infrastructure inspection and ocean interventions with marine robots, and robotics for autonomous greenhouse farming. This comprehensive structure aims to address diverse challenges in autonomous systems and robotics, particularly in extreme and critical environments.
